Hillary Clinton made $48 million on Bill Clinton’s speeches to foreign governments/entities while she was Secretary of State. Although this news isn’t anything new to people who have been paying attention, new reports about their involvement in the Uranium One scandal are once again shining light on the Clinton Foundation.
Via Judicial Watch from a 2014 report: A joint investigation by the Washington Examiner and the nonprofit watchdog group Judicial Watch found that former President Clinton gave 215 speeches and earned $48 million while his wife presided over U.S. foreign policy, raising questions about whether the Clintons fulfilled ethics agreements related to the Clinton Foundation during Hillary Clinton‘s tenure as secretary of state.
According to documents obtained by Judicial Watch and released Wednesday in an ongoing Freedom of Information Act case, State Department officials charged with reviewing Bill Clinton’s proposed speeches did not object to a single one. Some of the speeches were delivered in global hotspots and were paid for by entities with business or policy interests in the U.S.
The documents also show that in June 2011, the State Department approved a consulting agreement between Bill Clinton and a controversial Clinton Foundation adviser, Doug Band. The consultancy with Band’s Teneo Strategy ended eight months later following an uproar over Teneo’s ties to the failed investment firm MF Global.
State Department legal advisers, serving as “designated agency ethics officials,” approved Bill Clinton’s speeches in China, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Panama,Turkey, Taiwan, India, the Cayman Islands and other countries. President of Judicial Watch Tom Fitton gave a weekly update and he discussed Bill and Hillary’s money making scam as they tag teamed speeches and selling influence.
“Hillary Clinton promised she would vet all the conflicts of interest before a speech or a deal. We suspected it would be a scam and we highlighted that we can’t trust them back then,” Fitton said. “Hillary Clinton started violating that promise and agreement almost immediately in terms of taking money from foreign governments that she promised she would not be taking at the Foundation,” Fitton continued.
“How did this vetting happen? We had to sue for the documents. And the documents were shocking because they showed…the State Department approved 215 Bill Clinton speeches, controversial consulting deal worth $48 million….and they were rubber stamping them all,” Fitton said.
Bill Clinton was paid $500,000 by Kremlin-linked Renaissance Capital. This Moscow based firm was also involved in the Uranium One scandal wherein the Clinton Foundation received $145 million in exchange for 20% of America’s Uranium. How many other Bill Clinton speeches played out like the Uranium One scandal?? The Clintons literally sold America down the river and they have yet to be brought to justice. Paging AG Sessions…
